Hi Everyone No, we did not get lost.  We just have been a little busy with this volunteer stuff.  Nothing exciting to report and too much to bore you all with the gory details.  We are having a blast and learning much about portrait photography. Earlier this week and over the weekend, cannot recall exactly when; we were off and went for a hike in the RMNP.  While on line waiting to enter the park, we were entertained by this fox on the side of the road.  He was trying to get a morsel that appeared to be hiding under some rocks.  Then he decided to cross the road right in front of us.   We visited Moraine Discovery Center within the park.  It had the right length of a hiking loop for the way we felt.  It allowed us to do a little birding.  Just like all the many other places, this location provided beautiful vistas of the Park and surrounding mountains.  The valley seen below, was carved long ago by The Thompson Glacier; depositing many rocks a

Hi Everyone After a busy Friday & Saturday working, it continued Monday & Tuesday.  Thank goodness we're off Wednesday & Thursday.  The shoots have certainly gotten longer and harder.  The families have also gotten larger.  It has been an education and a great learning experience.  I surely did not know how financially rewarding this photography gig is.  I feel I may have chosen the wrong career field.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday, will be crazy.  We have a few families scheduled, including reunions of  56, 97 & 110 respectively on those days.  That is mind blowing and cannot wait to actually shoot it. The last couple of days Wendy has been playing "director".  Responsible for meeting and handling the families.  She selects the family breakdowns, calls them for the shoot at each studio, and poses them.  She has gotten really good at it too.  I am taking the photographs.  Today I worked in a different studio with more of the snowcapped mountains as

We went for our first kayaking adventure this week, at Estes Lake.    Beautiful trip, with elk eating along the lake.  We watched those elk jump over the dam fence, to access the lake!  It was quite breezy while we kayaked our way down the lake.  A little disappointed that there is a day fee to get onto the lake and a fee for a permit for each kayak. As we were turning back, we noticed dark clouds making an appearance.  As we approached the marina, the thunder boomers began!  We got out of the lake just in time.  The rain began in earnest, as we drove away from the lake.  When we returned to our trailer, we had another new weather experience.  Hail!  Marble sized, coming fast and furious.  Lasted much longer than we could hold our breaths. Very concerned about possible damage to truck and trailer.  When it ended, we went to check, and our vehicles were fine. We took a ride to Wild Basin, after work on Wednesday.  We were in search of another potential lake for us t
